The owner of a modern apartment in the West Midlands approached us to convert his old storage heaters to modern glass and mirror infrared heaters. The apartment was in the process of a refurbishment and our staff were able to integrate his installation around the other trades.
Jigsaw were contacted as the cost of running storage heaters throughout the apartment was very expensive and not easy to control, especially when running Economy 7 and having to guess what was required for the next day.
The benefits of using infrared heating for the apartment meant that the customer could fully control the heating throughout the day with each room being able to be independently controlled. Thus, saving money in the long run.

Tailored Infrared Installation

All of these heaters are available in mirror or glass and are available in a range of colours and wattages. They can also be combined with a number of options of thermostats with touchscreen and remote controls to enable you to adjust the temperature of the room from the comfort of your sofa.

Lounge: 2 x white glass heaters installed in landscape-style at a low level (customer request)
2 x Bedrooms: Mirror Infrared heaters installed in portrait style – slimline and unobtrusive
Hallway: White glass heater installed in landscape-style at a lower level (customer request)
Bathrooms: Glass mirror heater – comforting heat and a useful mirrored surface.
Jigsaw also organised the removal of the property’s existing storage heaters.

In order to deliver energy efficiency, reliability and a high level of comforting heat to every part of the apartment, infrared heating panels were chosen for the installation:
Comforting heat: using infrared technology, which heats objects rather than the air, panels would deliver a much greater level of comforting heat.
Installation: with a refurbishment in progress, the panels would be easily integrated in to the current storage heater wiring. Therefore, minimal wiring and reparative work was required.
Reliability: the infrared panels require zero maintenance in comparison to typical convection heaters and boilers since they involve no moving parts.
Repair: in circumstances where maintenance to the property may be required, the panels can simply be unplugged from the wall and plugged back in after repairs.
The whole installation was completed in 1 day – with minimum disruption.
